This program provides services for adults with developmental disabilities to assist with learning and improving adaptive skills necessary for continued community living. Goals are achieved utilizing art projects, gardening, and client enrichment activities that provide life skills, socialization and community inclusion opportunities. Sunshine is a licensed DAHS ISS only provider. We offer both on-site and off-site ISS activities. Activities are Mon-Fri from 8am-2:30pm. Holidays are listed in

These services are provided one-on-one in the client’s home and surrounding community to teach daily living skills for establishing & maintaining their home, achieving educational/employment goals, accessing community resources, and pursuing leisure activities. Doing so allows them to increase independence, stay safely in their home and lead a full, healthy, and purposeful life.

These program services assist individuals in their search for community-based employment. Experienced staff assess each client's abilities and interests to identify employment opportunities, complete applications, and prepare for interviews. Once employment is obtained, job coaching is provided to develop vocational skills and implement necessary accommodations that ensure the employee can successfully maintain employment.

This program provides outreach, education, referrals, and support to families who have a loved one with a developmental disability. These services include a Family Support Group that meets quarterly to learn about available resources, give input on Sunshine services, and develop a support network with other families to share experiences and knowledge. Providing support for these family members helps alleviate some of the stressors they face and improve their health and well-being.
